Geographical features: peak, summit, cliff, valley, river, lake, ocean, sea, island, peninsula, bay, coast

Adjectives: magnificent, spectacular, breathtaking, stunning, impressive, majestic, beautiful, amazing, incredible, enormous, vast, deep

Actions: explore, discover, climb, hike, trek, visit, admire, protect, preserve, conserve

Reported Yes/No Questions (Tường thuật câu hỏi Yes/No)

A. Cấu trúc:

  • S + asked (+ O) + if/whether + S + V (lùi thì)
  • Ex: "Do you like mountains?" → He asked me if/whether I liked mountains.

B. Quy tắc lùi thì:

  • Present Simple → Past Simple
  • Ex: "Do you like it?" → He asked if I liked it.
  • Present Continuous → Past Continuous
  • Ex: "Are you studying?" → She asked if I was studying.
  • Past Simple → Past Perfect
  • Ex: "Did you go?" → He asked if I had gone.
  • Will → Would
  • Ex: "Will you come?" → She asked if I would come.
  • Can → Could
  • Ex: "Can you help?" → He asked if I could help.
  • May → Might
  • Ex: "May I go?" → She asked if she might go.

C. Thay đổi đại từ và trạng từ:

  • I → he/she
  • you → I/he/she (tùy ngữ cảnh)
  • we → they
  • my → his/her
  • your → my/his/her
  • here → there
  • now → then
  • today → that day
  • tomorrow → the next day/the following day
  • yesterday → the day before/the previous day
  • this → that
  • these → those

D. Lưu ý quan trọng:

  • Không đảo trợ động từ trong câu tường thuật
  • Direct: "Do you like it?"
  • Reported: He asked if I liked it. (không phải "if did I like")
  • If và Whether: có thể dùng thay thế cho nhau
  • Ex: He asked if I liked it. = He asked whether I liked it.

E. Ví dụ chi tiết:

  • "Do you like mountains?" → He asked me if I liked mountains.
  • "Are you visiting Ha Long Bay?" → She asked me if I was visiting Ha Long Bay.
  • "Did you climb the mountain?" → He asked me if I had climbed the mountain.
  • "Will you go there?" → She asked me if I would go there.
  • "Can you see the waterfall?" → He asked me if I could see the waterfall.

  • tomorrow → the next day
