My Leisure Time and Countryside Life
I'm Minh, and I live in the countryside. Life here is very different from city life. In my leisure time, I enjoy doing many activities. I love hanging out with friends and playing sports. I also fancy making crafts and doing DIY projects. However, I detest surfing the Internet for too long because it's addictive.
Life in the countryside is peaceful and quiet. People work harder than city people, but they are more hospitable. My family has a small farm with paddy fields and an orchard. Every harvest season, we work together to collect rice. I often help my father herd buffalo in the vast fields. It's tiring, but I enjoy it.
Compared to the city, the countryside is less convenient. We don't have many shops or entertainment centers. However, the air is fresher, and life is more relaxing. People here live more slowly and happily than in the city. I prefer living in the countryside because it's peaceful and beautiful.
4 4. Skills - Reading Passage 2
Teenagers' Problems
Being a teenager is not easy. Teenagers face many problems today. School pressure is high, and students must study hard to get good grades. Peer pressure is also common. Teenagers want to fit in with their friends, so they sometimes do things they don't like.
Many teenagers feel stressed. They can't concentrate on their studies, and they feel tired all the time. Some teenagers are addicted to social media. They spend hours uploading photos and checking notifications. This distracts them from their schoolwork.
Bullying is another serious problem. Some students bully others, and this makes victims feel sad and scared. What can teenagers do? They should talk to counsellors or parents. They should be optimistic and manage their time better. They need to balance study and leisure time.
I think teenagers should enjoy their youth, but they must also be responsible. Study hard, but don't forget to relax and have fun with friends.
